Welcome to Elevate Church
Elevate Church started as a church plant in January 2015 with 4 members. During the first year we focused primarily on home bible study groups along with community missional projects and events. The church plans to launch weekly worship services on Sunday, March 20, 2016 (more info soon).
We are a community church that is not governed by any denomination, diocese, or other outside organization, but we have chosen to partner with the Send Network of the North American Mission Board. We also partner with the Arundel Baptist Network, the Mid-Atlantic Baptist Network, and the SBC. We support missional works through these as well as other organizations, such as Compasion International, Samaritan's Purse, and missionaries in Africa and the United States.
What to Expect
We are a relaxed, casual church. We do not expect people to dress-up for church. We meet at the Seafarers Yacht Club (301 Chester Avenue) in Easport across from Chester Avenue Playground. All parking is parallel parking on the street. You should be able to locate spaces on Chester Ave, Second Street, Third Street, or Fourth Street. We do have a handicap drop-off drive beside the entrance ramp.
Worship should be an expression of our heart to God. Our worship transcends style and is geared to meet the needs of our community. This means that our worship style will vary from high-energy songs of praise to heartfelt songs of our surrender and love for Jesus.
Our worship services begin at 10:30 am and typically last an hour. You are welcome to come early or stay after to get to know us better. During colder months we have everyone together in one room. During warmer weather our children's leaders will take the children out on the deck or to the park. We have a Mommy and Me room designated for those times when your little ones need some time away from the worship service.
Elevate Church exists to elevate the name of Jesus, equip disciples for service, and engage the community with service projects and the message of the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
